Smackdown 2012
This was a social night to remember for all swing dancers in Perth. 4 bands, 4 teams "competing", dancing all night long.

Hullabaloo Hoppers Busk at Hulbert St. Festival...
It was a hot day, but some great photos were shot. The Hoppers rocked up to support the Hulbert Street Sustainability festival with their tireless busking, lots of good food and even a little bit of environmentally friendly shopping... ;)

Highlights from July - August 2011
There were so many live events I covered over July & August, I thought I would just post a few of my favourite photos from the various events!
Bastille Day, North Fremantle Hotel with Corner House Jazz Band
I love stripes!
Harry Deluxe & Lucky Seven, Court Hotel
We were lucky to have Lucky Seven from Adelaide come play with our very own, awesome Harry Deluxe from Perth. The two bands put together made an amazing dance night at the Court Hotel!

Thursday Night Swing with Steven Mitchell Band
The monthly anticipated Thursday Night Swing night with the Steven Mitchell Band was held once again and hosted by Swing Zing...
Steven Mitchell and his band were amazing and lent some awesome dance tunes for the dancers to swing away.
The night also paid tribute to the late Frankie Manning. Frankie Manning is one person who needs no introduction in the Swing Dancing world. He was a dance instructor, American dancer, a friend to many people, and also considered one of the founding fathers of Swing Dancing.
The night also said farewell to a Jake Meadley, a dance instructor at Swing Zing, friend to all of us, who has taken up work in Corrigin. We wish him all the best!
